In August of 1946, Admiral Richard Byrd organized Operation High Jump, the largest expedition ever to travel to Antarctica, with 13 ships, 23 aircraft, and over 4,700 military personnel. The mission’s official goals were to investigate sites for potential military bases in Antarctica, following the conclusion of World War II. However, something unexpected happened during the expedition.
According to Admiral Byrd’s diaries, he discovered an entrance to the center of the Earth through the South Pole. He flew planes under the South Pole and discovered a lush and green area that shouldn’t have been there. He then saw a shimmering rainbow city made of crystal and was escorted into a cavernous area where he met a being he referred to as “the master” in his diary.
The master expressed concern about what humans were doing with nuclear weapons, particularly the recent destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
